Text links and buttons
Not every recommendation needs a box. Text links, single values and buttons put products right into your copy – with disclosure, tracking and a current price.

Links and values in running text
[affilinode_link] links to the best offer. The link text is the product title or your own text, and price="1" adds the current price. [affilinode_field] shows a single value – for example price, title, availability, rating, image or brand.
In the block editor, select some text in a paragraph and choose “affilinode link” from the format toolbar: the generator opens and puts the shortcode in place of your selection. Themes can use the PHP functions affilinode_link() and affilinode_field(), which take the same attributes.
Links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and count as a box type of their own in the click statistics. Prices only appear while they are current; the price date and the affiliate notice are in the tooltip.
Automatic links
Under affilinode → Automatic links (off by default), product names, categories and your own keywords in posts become links – to the best offer, to shops in your order (“Amazon first, otherwise Awin”), to the Amazon search with your tracking ID or to a page of your own.
At most three links per post (adjustable), each term only at its first occurrence, whole words only. Headings, existing links, code, captions and tables of contents are left alone, and so are feeds and the editor. Automatic links never show a price.
Mini card, own redirects and Amazon cart
Optionally, a small card with image, title, price with its date and the affiliate notice floats above a text link when the pointer rests on it or it gets keyboard focus. Nothing moves, Escape closes it, and on touch screens a tap simply opens the link.
With “Own redirects” (off by default), links point to addresses on your site such as /go/product-shop. The click is counted on your server – as a daily total, without IP address or cookie – and forwarded to the affiliate link.
Also optional: buttons to a current, available Amazon offer use Amazon’s own add-to-cart form and read “Add to the Amazon cart”.

- Amazon links never go through /go/: Amazon does not pay commission on purchases made through redirects and requires links to visibly lead to Amazon. Some advertisers in other networks forbid redirects too – check their terms.
- Amazon prices only appear in text links, fields and the mini card while they are at most 24 hours old; otherwise the mini card only shows the shop.
- Text links and fields are only hidden with hide_unavailable="1" when the product is not available anywhere – so no sentence quietly loses a word.
